Here are just some of the varied and interesting careers our colleagues have enjoyed within the CTH Group to date.

My Career Story

For the past 10 years, I have been working as a Key Account Manager focusing largely on the supply of decorative surfaces, worktops, panelling and flooring, for some of the finest Kitchen and Bathroom Studios around the Northeast and Cumbria. I joined Falcon Timber over a year ago having very little experience in the timber trade, but I was ready to try something new and be challenged. Here at Falcon, I am tasked with finding profitable business, taking control of an already established customer base and adopting an “easy to do business with” approach. During my time I have found myself leaning heavily on our specialist joinery team, our mezzanine department, and composite product specialists to help provide a well round service to my customers. I look forward to meeting you all on my exciting journey to the stars. Work smarter, not harder!

My Career Story

As Group Head of Compliance, I oversee all things FSC & PEFC related and am seen as the go to person for supplier, colleagues and customer queries relating to this. I manage the compliance team who are responsible for record keeping, making sure processes are in place and preparing for audits. I also have responsibility for the shipping department who import and export stock and deal with customs entries. Being able to switch from one task to another and having many spinning plates is definitely a skill I’ve honed. I also try to focus on the individuals in my teams, making sure that everyone is happy.I’ve been given the opportunity to develop a Compliance team, get a look into the manufacturing side and I’m starting to streamline processes across the group within Compliance, which has really pushed me professionally.

Over the years, I have stayed with Falcon Panel Products—now known as Falcon Timber—and have worked in nearly every department, including Sales, Admin, Shipping, Purchasing, and now Marketing. For the past six years, I have been part of the Marketing department. In my current role as a Marketing Coordinator, I support the marketing manager with email campaigns and manage the social media accounts across CTH. When I first ventured into Marketing, CTH enrolled me in a Digital Marketing course, which I completed with Distinction. My Career Story

My Career Story

I joined CTH 18 months ago as a Sales Administrator based at our head office in Tilbury, during that time I have worked hard to progress into a more sales focussed role. It has paid off and I have been promoted to an External Salesperson for Essex and am now out seeing customers 2/3 days a week. My day is always different. I have recently started contacting my customer list, a mix of lapsed and new customers and arranging visits. Whilst working for CTH I have been sent on a sales course, a day up in Leeds learning about STREven products and Triesse, and I am currently enrolled on a Wood Science exam. This will help me develop my skills and knowledge in selling. I hope to become a successful Salesperson in CTH and attend more courses to gain more knowledge and experience.

We take seriously the feedback we receive and take action, doing more of what is good, and building on the areas for improvement.

ESG Statement

At the CTH Group our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices are integral to our business model and operations. Ensuring we run our business in a way that minimizes our carbon impact is an on going and key priority. All of our group companies hold independent third party audited Chain of Custody Certification of forestry and wood processing. We fully recognize this as the best way of demonstrating good environmental management. Also in our manufacturing operation we use state of the art machinery which means waste factors are extremely low. The small amount of waste we do produce is either recycled or used in our ‘ofgem’ registered biomass system to heat our factory.

Our internal controls for decision making and business operations focuses on a sound financial framework and we commit to this being the single most important factor in how we operate. As a business we continue to invest heavily in our people strategy and organization design, to allow colleagues to flourish and realise their individual potential. We prioritise the well being of our colleagues and this is underpinned by providing a safe and fulfilling working environment for all.

This will continue to evolve and we commit to reviewing and keeping updated on new ways of working to minimize our impact to the environment, whilst also remaining progressive in our people strategy.
